Grand Theft Auto VI’s leads, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, are on the cover of the GTA 6 LOVE magazine issue that reached newsstands on Monday, 5 October 2026, with new Rockstar artwork, four fresh screenshots and an interview with the studio’s leadership and writers. The issue, LOVE Issue 27, arrives exactly 45 days before the game launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19 November.
The GTA 6 edition, one of six covers for the issue, sold out within minutes of pre-orders opening at €25, so most players around the world, Nigeria included, will only see it through the images the magazine shared online. The feature is less about new mechanics than about who Jason and Lucia are, which makes it the closest look Rockstar has given so far at the story it’s trying to tell.

Four new GTA 6 screenshots trade gunfights for quieter moments
LOVE previewed the images on its official Instagram account on 2 October ahead of the print release. They show Jason and Lucia sitting together in a diner, playing pool in a bar and riding a motorcycle, alongside a black-and-white portrait of the pair. None of them shows a heist, a police chase or a weapon, which fits the way Rockstar has framed the couple in its recent material.
For anyone who has followed the trailers since 2023, the shift in tone is noticeable. The earlier footage sold Leonida as loud, chaotic and dangerous, while these shots lean towards a relationship drama, and that balance is likely to shape how the campaign plays out between missions.
Rockstar’s writers say Jason and Lucia want a modest version of the American Dream
The interview features co-studio head Rob Nelson, Senior Vice President of Narrative Rupert Humphries, and writers Elizabeth Gauvey-Kern and Alexa D’Agostino. According to the feature, the team built the two leads around different temperaments. Lucia is described as driven and determined to build a better life, refusing to let obstacles stop her, while Jason is more reactive, a character shaped by circumstances rather than one who controls them.
What they want is strikingly ordinary for a GTA protagonist. Rather than building a criminal empire, the pair are chasing debt relief, a home and security for family, and the writers described wanting both characters to be flawed, capable of being right and wrong, and able to learn from each other. Lucia is also the first female lead in a mainline GTA since the series went 3D, and the feature positions her as the one driving much of the story.
What Nigerian players should take from the GTA 6 LOVE magazine cover story
Since the print issue is sold out and costs €25 before international shipping, there’s no sensible reason for players in Nigeria to chase a physical copy. Be wary of anyone on WhatsApp or Telegram selling a “full GTA 6 magazine PDF” or promising leaked gameplay from it, because the confirmed new material is the cover art and four screenshots, and those are already free to view on the magazine’s official Instagram.
The practical dates haven’t changed. Pre-load opens on 12 November for both digital and physical buyers, since the boxed version contains a download code rather than a disc, and the game requires an internet connection and a Rockstar account. Our guide to GTA 6 price and pre-orders in Nigeria explains how account regions affect what you pay, and the GTA 6 age rating breakdown covers what the PEGI 18 and Mature 17+ labels mean for younger players in the house. Official updates will continue to appear on Rockstar’s GTA VI page.
