Messi and Olise lead FC 27 Ultimate Scream Team 2, and 99 stats come later

Messi and Olise headline EA FC 27 Ultimate Scream Team 2, and every Ultimate Scream card gets one 99 stat and full chemistry for a week from November 24.

Messi and Olise are the headline names in “EA Sports FC 27” Ultimate Scream Team 2, the second wave of the Halloween promo that EA Sports opened in Football Ultimate Team on October 23, 2026. EA lists Ryerson and Jónsdóttir alongside them, joining a first team that includes Raphinha, Ronaldo, Çalhanoğlu and Tolisso.

The bigger detail for anyone deciding whether to chase these cards sits further down the calendar. EA says every Ultimate Scream item will transform on the Beaver Moon from November 24, when each player’s face stat jumps to 99 and they gain full in-position chemistry for one full week. That boost lands after the two-week event has closed, so a card you pick up now is also a card you’re buying for late November.

Ghoul Fest turns week two into a no-offside free-for-all

The second week of the promo brings Ghoul Fest, a “No Rules” mode where offsides and fouls go unpunished. EA says you can earn Ultimate Scream Tokens by completing its challenges, which makes it the most direct route into the Token Store for players who’d rather play matches than grind Squad Building Challenges. Two Flash Rush events each week also hand out Tokens, so it’s worth checking the Live Events tab more than once before the event ends.

Ghostly Gallery is the third token source. You complete Objectives using Ultimate Scream player items to earn themed vanity rewards, and submitting a set of five or more Ultimate Scream players earns Gallery Tokens. That one favours players who already own several promo cards, so if your club has only one or two, Ghoul Fest and Flash Rush are the better use of your time.

What your Scream Tokens can actually buy

EA says the Token Store holds Ultimate Scream Heroes, pack rewards and Evolutions. One Token Store Evolution upgrades a player’s defensive stats, while the second gives a wide player a PlayStyle+. There are also cosmetic Evolutions that apply retro Ultimate Scream designs from “FUT 17”, “FUT 19” and “FUT 20”, available in both the Token Store and the regular Evolution Store.

Because the store stays open for a week after the event closes, you don’t have to spend every Token the moment you earn it. Holding them until you know which Hero or Evolution fits your squad is the safer approach, as long as you don’t leave them sitting there once the store shuts. EA is also running Halloween-themed Puzzle SBCs, Ultimate Scream SBCs and Showdown SBCs during the promo, though it hasn’t published the requirements for every challenge in advance.

Position changes make some of these cards more useful than their ratings suggest

EA says Ultimate Scream players come with authentic position changes and their own upgrade paths, which is why a promo card can end up fitting a role its base version never could. Combined with the Beaver Moon week, when full in-position chemistry means a player slots straight into any squad, the cards can be stronger in practice than the number on the front suggests. EA hasn’t said how the face stat that rises to 99 is picked for each player.

The full breakdown of the promo is on EA’s official Ultimate Scream page. If you play on a shaky connection, Ghoul Fest matches will feel the lag like any other online mode, so our guide to lowering gaming ping on MTN, Airtel, Glo and T2 is worth a look before you start grinding Tokens.

With Team 2 revealed and Ghoul Fest taking over week two, the next few days are the main window to collect Tokens, so earn as many as you can now and decide how to spend them before the store closes. If you’re buying an Ultimate Scream card on the transfer market, remember that its best week is still to come on November 24.
